Symptom: hover: works but focus: does not

Root cause#

The element is not focusable (divs need tabindex) or outline was removed.

The fix#

Add tabindex="0" where semantic, and always provide visible focus.

Verify#

  • Hard-refresh (the CSS cache is the #1 false negative)
  • Re-generate and re-link the stylesheet
  • Search the docs for the exact class — spelling is unforgiving
